The number of clean-up workers decreased from 276,327 (2013) to 171,725 (2022), or by 104,602 people (37.85%), that is, over the past 10 years, almost every third clean-up worker of the ChNPP accident died. The number of adult victims decreased from 1,558,209 in 2008 to 1,183,021 in 2022, or by 24.08% (375,188 persons). Among the affected contingents of the Kyiv region during 2022, 1,323 persons were recognized with disabilities for the first time, or 20.1% of all primary disabilities, which is 363 persons (37.8%) more than in 2021 (960 persons - 18.1 %), in 2020 - 1,087 people (19.8%). 1,102 people (80.3%) were residents of the radiation contaminated territories (RCT), 201 people (15.2%) were clean-up workers, 20 people (1.5%) were evacuated. 552 victims (41.7%) of the ChNPP accident living in the Kyiv region were disabled due to main cardiovascular diseases, which is 281 people (6.9%) more than in 2021 (271 people – 28.2%), in 2020 - 291 persons (26.8%). 108 people (19.6 %) were clean-up workers, 437 (79.2 %) - RCT residents, 7 - (1.3 %) evacuees. Respiratory diseases (COPD and asthma) have been established as the primary cause of disability for 30 people (2.3%), endocrine diseases - 19 people (1.4%), diseases of the nervous system - 9 persons (0.7%). Malignant neoplasms became the cause of disability for 689 people (52.1%). 3 scientific papers were published (1 chapter in the English version of the National Report, 1 article in a publication indexed in scientometric databases and 1 thesis), 1 report at an international scientific conference, the draft order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was updated, the results of the SRW were included in the information and analytical materials for thee Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management.
