Zabolotny of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The object of the study is Bacillus, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium probiotic strains, promising for the creation of probiotics that can be used for the prevention and treatment of purulent-inflammatory wounds of the skin and mucous membranes. The aim of the study is to determine the antimicrobial and immunomodulatory properties of Bacillus, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains in vitro and the possibility of their effective use with cerium dioxide nanoparticles; to establish the biosensitivity of these probiotic cultures, their metabolic and antioxidant activity, as well as the prebiotic action of cerium dioxide nanoparticles. Research methods – microbiological, immunological, biochemical, statistical. The effective antimicrobial effect of Bacillus, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains in vitro has been proven against strains of opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms, including the most frequent causative agents of infectious and inflammatory wounds. These probiotic cultures had a species-dependent immunomodulatory effect, aimed primarily at the activation of innate immunity factors. Lactobacillus species with a more elastic cell wall, which facilitates their digestion by antigen-presenting cells, were the most effective immunomodulators in vitro. The studied strains of Bacillus, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium were found to be biocompatible. The most promising probiotic cultures for the prevention and treatment of purulent-inflammatory wounds of the skin and mucous membranes were selected for their antibacterial and immunomodulatory properties, as well as their antioxidant effect and spectrum of metabolites, such as organic acids. Their cultural media were optimized. Culture media and physico-chemical parameters for growing of these probiotic strains of bacteria were optimized to obtain optimal cell biomass and metabolites. Cerium dioxide nanoparticles revealed prebiotic properties at the stage of cultivation of probiotic cultures. Product Description popup.authors Babenko Lidiia P. Lazarenko Liudmyla M.
