Comparative analysis of nano- and microcrystalline crystal phosphors suitable for biomedical applications and energy-saving lighting was performed. New crystal phosphors for non-contact temperature measurement were synthesized and temperature dependences of their luminescent properties and thermometric characteristics were investigated. Methods of engineering of phase transition temperature for internal temperature calibration by substitution of cations in crystal matrices with different types of structures are proposed.
