The work presents the peculiarities of the development and species composition of pests of the cycad suborder on grape plantations in the South of Ukraine. The purpose of the research: to study the species composition of cycad pests, the degree of their distribution in the conditions of the South of Ukraine and the dynamics of their number depending on the meteorological conditions of the year and the varietal composition of the plantations. The phytosanitary state of grape plantations was monitored in relation to the distribution and harmfulness of the main pests of the cycad suborder. An analysis of the varietal structure of grape plantations was carried out in view of the distribution of pests of the cycad suborder and the ratio of their species. The species composition and peculiarities of the development of pests of the cycad suborder on grape plantations in the conditions of the South of Ukraine were studied. The distribution of the most common pests of the cycad suborder was studied and their numbers on different grape varieties were analyzed. The object of research is pests of the suborder Cycads, Japanese grape leafhopper, white (citrus) leafhopper. The subject of the study is phytosanitary monitoring of the species composition of cycad pests.
