A comprehensive assessment of table beet and carrots with tall savory fruits, biochemical characteristics, productivity and keeping quality of root crops was carried out. Before the work, signs were obtained that were different in varietal populations themselves behind the indicated signs. For further breeding work, behind a complex of valuable government signs, promising lines of table beet were seen: Delikatesna, Orpheus, Kuzya, which, behind the signs “Yield”, “Commodity” and “Weight Root Vegetable”, surpassed the standard variety Bordo Kharkovsky. In the middle of the line of carrots, the top ones were Iriska and Alma. A new line of Veselka table beet with a growing season of up to 90 days was transferred to the NCGRRU. Rootstock of round-oval shape, red color, with a diameter of 8-11.5 cm. Shape index 0.8-1.0. Root crop yield 226-230 g. Productivity 57.2 t/ha. Instead of dry speech 19.71%, vegetable carcinoma 13.12%, vitamin C 10.46 mg/100g, betanin 352 mg/100g. Also, a line of carrots of the Nantes variety type - Licorice with a growing season of 96-100 db - was transferred to the National Center for Geological Research. Red-orange rootstock, cylindrical, length 12-15, diameter – 3-5 cm, with a blunt end, smooth, weight 150-200 g. Contains carotene – 16-18 mg/100 g, dry carotene 8.5-11, 0%. Keeping quality is high.
