Registration Date 14-12-2023 Organization Physico-Mechanical Institute named after GV Karpenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  At the first stage of the project implementation in 2023, an analysis of literary sources regarding the preparation of Ni-Mo and Ni-Mo-B electrochemical coatings as electrocatalytic materials for the production of green hydrogen was carried out. The composition of a self-regulating complex electrolyte based on sodium citrate, nickel salts and strontium molybdate for obtaining a Ni-Mo coating was developed: (mol/l) 0.2 NiCl2; 0.04 SrMoO4; 0.3 Na3C6H5O7, pH9.0, and effective modes of its application were established - i = 0.5...2.5 A/dm2, t = 22, 70°C, Vp = 300 rpm. To obtain coatings of the Ni-Mo-B system with a boron content of 0,9...2,3 % mass. 50 and 100 g of amorphous boron were additionally added to the electrolyte, respectively. The developed Ni-Mo and Ni-Mo-B coatings are able to reduce the overvoltage of hydrogen release in alkaline environments and can serve as a promising catalyst for the production of green hydrogen.
