The object of the research is psychological support in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The subject of the study is the principles, directions and methods of psychological support in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Research methods are chosen based on the defined goals and tasks, taking into account its object and subject. To solve the tasks, a research program was developed, the implementation of which involved the use of a complex of general scientific methods: analysis and generalization of scientific psychological literature and the legal framework on the research problem, synthesis of the obtained information, content analysis. Obtained results: an adviser on the theoretical and methodological foundations of psychological support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was prepared. Practical recommendations and applied proposals regarding the optimization of psychological support in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are provided. The model of psychological support of personnel in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is proposed, taking into account modern trends and requests of practice.
