Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics NAS of Ukraine popup.description2  This project aims to study quantum phenomena which occur in solid-state nanostructures (nanowires, conducting nanofilms, surfaces with nanosized inhomogeneities, semiconductor nanostructures, Josephson junction arrays, etc.) when they are irradiated by the electromagnetic waves or laser beams, or due to some impact of the DC electric and/or magnetic field. Especially, we intend to study such important quantum phenomena as the formation of quasi-one-dimensional electron crystal in a nanowire and the quantum phase transitions in such crystal; the thermal Coulomb drag resistance and magnetodrag resistance in double-layered nanostructures; the Anderson localization at the diffraction of plasmon-polaritons on nanosized inhomogeneities; the impact of the Aharonov–Bohm effect on the spectrum of eigenmodes of nanostructure; effect of gyrotropy on the phenomenon of Anderson localization in layered structures; quantum effect of Seebeck and Peltier in semiconducting nanostructures; Josephson plasma waves and nonlinear effects in the Josephson junction arrays.
