The purpose of the work is to create new polycomponent high-entropy wear- and heat-resistant high-entropy AlCr0.5FeCo1.75Ni3W0.5TixBy alloys and electrospark coatings based on them and to establish the general regularities of their phase and structure formation, as well as to evaluate their physical and mechanical properties. In the course of work, new high-entropy alloys of the AlCr0.5FeCo1.75Ni3W0.5TixBy systems were synthesized by the method of arc remelting. Metals with a purity of more than 99.5 atomic percent and titanium diboride powder were used as starting components. Such alloys were obtained for the first time, and their structure and phase composition were investigated. Dependencies of substrate mass gain on electrospark processing time and coating energy were analyzed. The influence of the application energy on the hardness and phase composition of the coatings was studied. The use of coatings made of high-entropy alloys on inexpensive steels will significantly reduce the cost of products and make it possible to use them more widely as wear-resistant and structural materials.
