The object of research is fodder beet lines, populations, collection samples, varieties, hybrids. The subject of the research is the peculiarities of creating new initial forms of fodder beets and improving the methodology of their evaluation. The purpose of the research is to investigate the hybridization potential of parental forms and to create single-sprout hybrids of fodder beets on fertile and sterile grounds. Research methods are laboratory, field, measuring and weighing, statistical. Based on the results of the 2021–2023 research, 14 sources of single-seeded beet recombinant materials were introduced into the selection process for creating fodder beet single-sprout hybrids. 11 lines of pollinators-fixers of sterility (O types) and their CМS analogues with a level of pollen sterility of 97–100% and singleness of seeds of 96–99% have been created. 21 samples of combination-capable multi-sprout pollinators of fodder beets were selected. Seven high-yielding single-stem hybrids of fodder beet were created on а CМS basis, which exceed the multi-stem standard in terms of productivity by 5–10%.
