METHODS OF DETERMINING SULFATE CONTENT” The object of the research is therapeutic, therapeutic-table and natural table drinking mineral waters The aim of the work was to develop a standardized method for determining the content of sulfates in drinking water. To solve the set goal, it is necessary to solve the following task: - to develop a standardized titrimetric method for determining the content of sulfates in drinking water. Research methods. The research was carried out by the titrimetric method on the basis of the testing laboratory of the SE "KYIVOBLSSTANDARTMETROLOGIA". The developed technique applies to medical, medical-table and natural table drinking mineral waters. The essence of the method is the formation of practically insoluble barium sulfate in an acidic environment. Determination is carried out by titrating a water sample with water-soluble barium salts in the presence of nitrochromazo or chlorophosphonazo indicators. The method allows to determine from 0.2 mg of sulfate ions in the sample. That is why the development of a standardized method for determining water safety indicators: determination of sulfates in drinking water is necessary for the testing laboratory of SE "KYIVOBLSSTANDARTMETROLOGIA".
