CHLORIDE DETERMINATION METHODS" The object of the research is therapeutic, therapeutic-table and natural table drinking mineral waters The purpose of the work is to develop a methodology for determining the chloride content in drinking water as an enterprise standard for use in the testing department (testing laboratory). To solve the set goal, the following tasks must be solved: – to develop a titrimetric method for the qualitative determination of chlorides in drinking water; - to develop a titrimetric method for the quantitative determination of chlorides in drinking water. Research methods – quantitative and qualitative titrimetric method for determination of chlorides in drinking water. The research was conducted on the basis of the testing laboratory of the SE "KYIVOBLSSTANDARTMETROLOGIA". The developed technique applies to medical, medical-table and natural table drinking mineral waters and establishes a titrimetric method for determining chloride ions. The essence of the method is the precipitation of chlorine ion in a neutral or weakly alkaline environment with silver nitrate in the presence of potassium chromic acid as an indicator. After precipitation of silver chloride, silver chromic oxide is formed at the equivalence point, while the yellow color of the solution changes to orange-yellow.
