Goal – improving the yield and sowing qualities of hybrid corn seeds using the example of prematurely maturing maternal lines adapted to the conditions of the northern part of the Forest-Steppe and Polissia of Ukraine, and the study of the possibility of recommending the introduction of fungicidal treatments into the seed production system during the castration period. Research methods. Inbreeding and recurrent selection in the creation of self-pollinated lines, hybridization and variety testing of new hybrids in order to select genotypes that meet the specified parameters. Research results and their novelty. It was established that the introduction of Biogel and two-time (before and after castration) treatment of crops with the fungicide Akanto+ contributed to a slight increase in yield, but did not affect the sowing qualities of hybrid seeds. This method of processing turned out to be the most effective for the mechanical form of castration: according to the soot, the spread was 1.0 and the development was 2.6%; 100 and 3.3% for helminths, respectively. A patent application has been submitted for a utility model for an improved method of obtaining hybrid corn seeds, which involves two-time (before and after castration) treatment of corn plants with the fungicide Akanto+ at the rate of 1 l/ha when using a mechanical method of castration, which will allow obtaining high-quality hybrid material.
