The work was carried out in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences No. 18/05 dated 12.16.2020, protocol No. 10. Implementation period: January 2021 - December 2023. The purpose of the work is to investigate the causes and consequences of the imbalance (lack and excess) of micronutrients (Zn, Cu, Mo) in food biogeochemical chains and to develop the principles of their ecological zoning The object of research is the biogeochemical processes of the redistribution of trace elements in the system "soils-groundwaters-plants-animals-humans". The subject of the research is biogeochemical chains of nutrient microelements in zonal agrolandscapes of the Forest Steppe of Ukraine. Research methods - field, calculation, analysis and synthesis, statistical, mapping. Results – the issue of biogeochemical mapping and zoning was studied; experimental materials on biogeochemical provinces and problems of endemic diseases are summarized; a biogeochemical assessment of some chemical elements in the system of ecological zoning of arable lands was carried out; methodical recommendations have been developed.
