Ya. Purpose - to develop effective measures for managing the sunflower production process in the Eastern Forest Steppe of Ukraine. Methods - field and laboratory. Results – responses of new and promising classical and tribenuron-methyl-resistant sunflower hybrids have been studied. It is advisable to sow classic ‘Yarylo’ and ‘Khoryv’ sunflower hybrids within the optimal sowing timeframe without fertilizers (seeding rates of 40,000 seeds/ha and 70,000 seeds/ha, respectively). Late sowing on N30P30K30 is recommended for ‘Husliar hybrid’. No effect of complex application of mineral fertilizers, microfertilizers, and biologics was detected in the plots with 'Yaskravyi' high-oleic hybrid sunflower. In sulfon-resistant sunflower fields, anti-weed protection is as follows: 'Ravelin' hybrid - Gold Star, 15 g/ha+Tandem surfactant, 0.3 L/ha (in phase 2 (1 pair) of true leaves of the crop)+Gold Star, 15 g/ha+Tandem surfactant, 0.3 L/ha (in the phase of 4–6 (2–3 pairs) of true leaves of the crop)+Queen Star Max, 1.2 L/ha (13 days after the second application; 'Fenomen' hybrid - Gold Star, 25 g/ha+Tandem surfactant, 0.3 L/ha (in the phase 2 (1 pair) of true leaves of the crop)+Queen Star Max, 1.2 L/ha (13 days after the second application). No sufficient resistance to Gold Star herbicide at doses of 50 g/ha and 35 g/ha has been noted in the sulfonylurea-resistant sunflower hybrids bred by the Yuriev Plant Production Institute. The development and improvement of certain elements of technologies for sunflower hybrid growing ensure high yields, saving agricultural resources by 20-25%, reducing the pesticide load by 15-20%, and increasing the return on fertilizers by 10-15%. It is recommended to implement in the Eastern Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe of Ukraine Product Description popup.authors Hlubokyi Oleksandr M. Zhyzhka Nataliia H. Kuzmenko Natalia V.
