Field tests of promising breeding lines of winter triticale of original origin from crossings with the participation of the chromosomally substituted line CST(5B)5D allowed to identify high-yielding lines with a grain yield above 10 t/ha, high drought resistance, resistance to pathogens and plant lodging, and high quality grain threshing . Optimized methods of identification of lpa-1 and lpa-2 mutations affecting the phytate content in bare barley grain, and selected barley donor lines with mutant genes that determine the increased content of mineral phosphorus. It was shown that three Gli-D1 alleles, which code for the biosynthesis of wheat gluten proteins, were transferred from chromosome 1DS (short arm) of wild species to the genome of cultivated wheat (the Gli-D1cyl allele from Egilops Ae. cylindrica and the Gli-D1ts1 and Gli-D1ts2 alleles from Aegilops Ae. taushii) are able to significantly positively influence the baking properties of cultivated wheat. It was established that despite the gradual improvement of the radioecological situation in the near exclusion zone of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, radionuclide contamination of the soil, even 37 years after the accident, continues to retain mutagenic activity, as evidenced by an excess of the spontaneous level of chromosomal aberrations by 3.5–7.5 times.
