Purpose - to conduct research aimed at optimizing the process of hydrogen production using plasma technologies in terms of environmental and energy indicators. Research methods - spectral studies and physical analysis of processes in plasma in the area of its contact with raw materials, comparative experimental studies of the conversion of carbon-containing waste. It is shown that in terms of the cumulative effect on the national economy, hydrogen production in Ukraine from hydrocarbon raw materials using plasma technologies may have advantages over processes based on water electrolysis. The work ends with the development of a detailed methodology for conducting probe studies of dense atmospheric pressure plasma and its implementation at the Lithuanian Energy Institute (Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas).
