The purpose of the research is to create, study and submit to the state qualification examination varieties of spring barley and bare-grain barley with the usual and amylopectin composition of starch, with a yield of 7-8.5 t/ha, adapted to growing conditions in the Northern Forest Steppe and Polissia of Ukraine. Research methods: field and laboratory. Results: In 2022, a new initial hybrid material was created by the method of hybridization of 64 combinations of parental components. Planned research was conducted in all nurseries and the most promising lines were selected for further research. High-yielding filmy varieties of spring intensive type barley with a potential yield of 8-9 t/ha, Dyvo Nosivshchyny and Gubernatorsky, were submitted to the state qualification examination.
