The main results are in the development of three-dimensional mathematical models for the study of interrelated electromagnetic, hydrodynamic and thermal processes in induction channel installations and in circuits of modern electrical and semiconductor converters of electrical energy parameters. The novelty of research is confirmed by the improvement of methods for computer and experimental research of electrophysical and electromagnetic processes and an increase in the energy efficiency of the developed semiconductor converters and modern industrial electrical equipment. The theoretical significance of the obtained scientific results lies in the development of new methods, mathematical models and techniques for determining the optimal electromagnetic processes in heterogeneous conductive and dielectric media of induction channel installations and in circuits of electrical and semiconductor converters of electrical energy parameters. The practical value of research and development work is to improve induction channel installations for electromagnetic processing of metal melts (in particular, in particular, installations of the UPCAST type) by lowering the temperature on the surface of the bodies of such installations, reducing specific energy consumption, improving the quality of metals and improving the working conditions of specialists serving the installations. Important results have also been obtained in the direction of creating high-voltage semiconductor power supply systems for the implementation of highly stable modes of electron-beam processing of industrial titanium alloys.
