Comparative studies of the chemical composition, structural state, contamination by non-metallic inclusions, and mechanical properties of 316L stainless steel produced by traditional technology (rolling and annealing) and produced by SLP technology (in the as-built state) were carried out. Using world experience, it was concluded that the most effective way to minimize internal stresses in 316L austenitic steel produced by SLM is heat treatment. Conducted studies aimed at establishing regularities of influence of manufacturing technological parameters on the characteristics of 316L steel produced by the SLM method.
