The goal is to develop recommendations for improving the hygienic characteristics of the welding process based on studies of harmful factors that occur during mechanized welding of non-ferrous metals. The task of the work: to investigate the chemical composition, levels of aerosol emissions formed during mechanized welding of solid copper and aluminum wires; to investigate the nanoscale fractions of welding aerosols formed during mechanized welding of copper and aluminum alloys; to investigate optical and acoustic harmful radiations arising during mechanized welding of copper and aluminum alloys. A review of the literature on the study of the hygienic characteristics of the mechanized welding of copper and aluminum alloys was carried out. It can be seen from the review that these processes are characterized by harmful emissions of welding aerosols (ZA). The use of general exchange and local ventilation is not sufficient for the proper condition of the air in the production environment. The levels, chemical composition of the welding aerosol and the class of the welding wire are determined in accordance with DSTU ISO 15011-4:2021. The results of studies of the chemical composition and sizes of nano-sized fractions of ZA during mechanized welding of copper and aluminum alloys are presented. Recommendations have been developed to protect the air of the production environment from harmful substances during mechanized welding of non-ferrous metals. The report analyzes dangerous physical factors, namely optical and acoustic radiation. The physical essence, main characteristics, main sources of formation, harmful effects, methods and means of protection against the harmful effects of optical and acoustic radiation are analyzed.
