The purpose of the work is to develop an application program for the optimization synthesis of production complexes and warehouse systems. The research method is a scientific and analytical study of forecasting the feasibility of creating a new production complex. The results of the research are presented by the algorithm and method of generating a set of layouts, their evaluation according to the optimization criterion and determining the layout that is optimal for the given conditions. This set forms the theoretical basis of modular design of production complexes and warehouse systems. A set of layouts is created by generation from a set of production machines and devices for interoperational movement of products produced by global and domestic industrial enterprises, the data of which are freely available on the global information network. The formalization and algorithmization of the optimization synthesis of production complexes and warehouse systems was carried out in order to determine the procedures that can be carried out by PC resources. The obtained results became the basis for the development of software that implements the idea of partial automation of the task of optimization synthesis of modular technological equipment. The "OptiTech" program, developed using a full search algorithm, generates all logically permissible variants of the structure of the design object, calculates the values of the selected criteria and visualizes the set of all solutions. The obtained ratio is convenient for the application of the Pareto method. The optimal option is determined using the generalized criterion of optimality.
