The primary reason for the importance of continuous improvement of the methodological basis for environmental control and monitoring is the detection of anthropogenic changes in ecological systems caused by chemical pollution, which is currently the main component of hazardous anthropogenic impact on the environment. The results of chemical and physical measurements of the composition and properties of environmental objects are the basis for information on the presence and degree of pollution of the biosphere by hazardous chemicals, which is used by state and departmental monitoring and control bodies for a comprehensive analysis of the state of the environment, determination of management strategies, regulation of its quality, determination of permissible loads, etc. Objectives: - to analyze the EС requirements for the nomenclature of hazardous chemicals in environmental objects, standards of their content, methods of measuring their concentrations; existing methods of measuring concentrations of hazardous chemicals and their lists; - develop a draft Generalized list of methods for measuring concentrations of hazardous chemicals in environmental objects and sources of pollution in order to monitor the state of the environment and control compliance with environmental legislation; - to develop methods for determining the content of hazardous chemicals in environmental objects, to ensure the maximum possible and appropriate universality in terms of indicators and measurement objects.
