Establish changes in the ecological status of the coal mining regions during the development of coal seams. popup.description2  The purpose of this study is to determine the geological regularities of formation of anthropogenic reservoirs of coal-bearing massifs as a component of the planetary process of organogenic sedimentation and lithogenesis under the influence of hydrogen-hydrocarbon inflow, which accompany the development of lithospheric structures in interaction with endogenous and anthropogenic factors, affect their formation and distribution patterns in coal mining regions, and reduce the negative impact on the environment in technologically loaded regions. Gas distribution in the coal-bearing massifs, disturbed and undisturbed by mining operations, of the Donetsk Basin was formed under the influence of tectonic processes that manifested themselves during the stages of tectogenesis from the Permian to the Neogene and modern fluid dynamic processes. The equilibrium of the gas-medium system changes during lithogenesis, tectonic movements and even during mining operations. Long-term mining operations and significant masses of rocks and coal extracted from the depths have led to the formation of new geological and technological structures that have accelerated downward movement of formations and gas migration in the near-surface strata and their deformation. The industrial significance of technogenic reservoirs, which contain resources of natural energy and valuable technological raw materials, is a relevant study to increase the raw material base in the post-war period. To achieve this goal, it was necessary to assess the state of study of anthropogenic collectors of coal-bearing massifs, determine the general scheme of geological regularities of their formation, general features of evolution and resource value, and their spatial location in coal-bearing basins in Ukraine.
