The novelty of the obtained results lies in the introduction into scientific circulation of a large array of source materials related to the history of the musical culture of Ukraine and the Ukrainian diaspora. As a whole, they are an essential component of the source base of modern art history, which allows for the formation of new, scientifically based conceptual views on the history and modernity of Ukrainian spiritual culture. The work emphasizes that in the context of the development of various humanitarian disciplines, which relate to the heritage of national spiritual culture, a conceptual and holistic understanding of the musical and cultural development of the first third of the 20th century is a valuable contribution to the corresponding concept created by various humanitarian disciplines. This is due to both the reliance on the traditions of the leading school of Ukrainian musical studies, which was developed in the department of musicology and ethnomusicology of the Institute of Musicology of the National Academy of Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences, as well as the assets of the national musical culture, which contain a significant fund of world-class phenomena, taking into account the data of related fields of knowledge. It is proved that the conceptual aspects of the specified developments are a contribution to the development of the theoretical level of Ukrainian humanitarian studies, which is an important indicator of their compliance with the level of modern scientific knowledge.
