Registration Date 05-02-2024 Organization National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description2  The objects of research are resonant oscillations of a composite wide-chord fan blade, elastic characteristics of the blade, natural frequencies and forms of blade oscillations when changing the elastic constants of a single crystal, natural oscillations of single-layer and flat sandwich panels with FGM layers. The purpose of the work is prediction of the dynamics of a composite wide-chord fan blade with effective elastic properties of an equivalent homogeneous material, to develop new approaches, models and methods of own analysis of vibrations of the latest materials in the form of sandwich panels with FGM layers. Research methods – theoretical methods of homogenization of elastic properties of composite, computer methods of studying parameters of composite, layer-by-layer modeling method based on gradient continuous shell elements. A method of numerical determination of the dynamic characteristics of a fan blade made of composite material has been developed. Modeling and numerical study of natural frequencies and modes of the blade was carried out using the finite element method using the ANSYS software package. The orthotropic properties of the equivalent homogeneous material are specified in local coordinate systems and correspond to the spatial geometry of the blade design. An effective finite element model based on conventional shell elements has been developed for self-analysis of vibrations of single-layer and flat sandwich panels with FGM layers. Numerical studies of self-oscillations of single-layer and three-layer sandwich plates subjected to different boundary conditions and corresponding to different structural parameters are presented. The studies showed a very good agreement between the obtained results and those available in the literature, which confirmed the accuracy of the developed model with minimal computational costs.
