MT Rylsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The scientific work "Folklore in modern society: traditions, transformations" (2021–2023) is devoted to the current problems of modern folklore and folklore heritage. The stability of folklore traditions is an important factor for modern society in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. This determines the relevance of the developed theoretical foundations for the in-depth study of the problems of national identity, or identity, based on folklore materials, both at the theoretical and methodological level and at the practical, social and cultural level with the involvement of European experience. In the study, the European experience is introduced to the Ukrainian folkloristic discourse of intangible cultural heritage in the pan-European cultural space in accordance with the UNESCO convention. For the first time, the issue of preservation of intangible cultural heritage and in particular folklore in the conditions of military challenges and destruction during the period of Russian aggression against Ukraine is considered. For the first time in Ukraine, attention was paid to the problem of the consolidation of society during the Russian-Ukrainian war on the basis of folklore materials. Historical and theoretical approaches are combined with the practice of field research and monitoring of folklore bearers. A number of archival materials from the history of folkloristics and oral history, including testimonies of Ukrainian refugees in European countries from the Russian-Ukrainian war, have been introduced into scientific circulation. The result of the work is a collective monograph "Folklore in modern society: traditions, transformations". The relevant sections of which reflect the current state and dynamics of folklore traditions in Ukraine and in modern Europe. The changes taking place in folklore in connection with modern social transformations and globalization factors are analyzed. Product Description popup.authors Ivannikova Luydmyla V.
