Research methods: Mathematical simulation in MAPLE and MCNP-6.2 program codes. The most important results: For the first time in the MCNP-6.2 program code, a physical model of the neutron-breeding medium, a nuclear-hazardous accumulation of FCM in the NSC-SO complex was developed, which takes into account the version of their formation due to the interaction of the heat-emitting melt of corium origin and the concrete of the sub-reactor plate. An algorithm for estimating the current and predicted subcritical level of a nuclear-hazardous FCM cluster (effective neutron multiplication factor) was developed and implemented in the MAPLE 2015 program code based on the results of data analysis of neutron flux density monitoring performed by the Nuclear Safety Control System of the Integrated Automated Control System of the NSC-SO complex. Based on the results of applying the MCNP-6.2 software code and carrying out a series of variational calculations using the developed model, conclusions were drawn regarding the influence of the degree of heterogeneity of the neutron propagating medium and the mass of uranium on the increase of the effective neutron propagation coefficient in the process of gradual loss of moisture by the material medium of FCM.
