Research methods - general scientific methods (analysis and synthesis, logical grouping, comparison, generalization, comparison, etc.), separate methods of economic research (document verification, etc., system and structural analyzes of normative, theoretical, and practical material) and special methods, the functions of which are performed by methods expert research. Theoretical and practical results – general legislative and regulatory provisions on the use of budget funds are given, an analysis of modern expert practice is carried out in order to identify the most typical problems that arise when conducting forensic economic examinations on the use of budget funds. The novelty is the creation of a modern basic methodology for conducting a forensic and economic examination on the use of budget funds. Effectiveness of implementation - the methodology will allow to carry out research within the scope of expert specialty 11.2 "Research of documents on the economic activity of enterprises and organizations" with high quality and taking into account all the latest changes in budget legislation.
