The research object is the creation of new genotypes, which will combine a meat productivity high level and the Merino sheep wool qualities preservation. Research methods are systematic analysis and generalization, zootechnical, laboratory-analytical, organoleptic, accounting and calculation ones. It was established that the purebred ewe’s fertilization rate is averaged 63.4%, in crossbred animals Ascanian Fine-Fleeced (AFF)×Merinolandschaf (ML) – 74.7% and Ascanian Fine-Fleeced (AFF)×Texel (T) – 60.4%. The average fertility of Ascanian Fine-Fleeced breed ewes is 119.9%, and that of cross-breed ewes is 106.7 and 110.3%, respectively. A tendency to an increase in live weight at birth was noted in ram-lambs obtained from crossbred ewes AFF×ML by 14.6%, and in ewe-lambs by 20.5%, compared to purebred lambs. At the age of 3-3.5 months weaning, the purebred lambs’ parameters amounted to 22.3 kg, which is 13.9 and 10.7% less than that of animals (AFF×T) ×ML and (AFF×ML) ×AFF. From birth to weaning, low average daily gains were noted in lambs: AFF – 0.155 kg, (AFF×T) ×ML – 0.177 kg and (AFF×ML) ×AFF– 173 kg. The growth factor in the period from birth to 6.5 months of age in crossbred lambs was 6.4, and in purebred lambs 6.5.  Methodical techniques for increasing the productivity of Ascanian Fine-Fleeced sheep have been developed, which include obtaining the desired genotypes, evaluating young animals according to developmental stages, determining slaughter qualities, and establishing selection and genetic parameters in sheep of different origins.
