The research object is the biological and productive effect of mineral substances chelated forms in the ewes’ diets during the lactation period. Research methods are zootechnical, biochemical and biometric methods. The productive and metabolic effect of the sulfur organic complex, iodine and selenium minerals in feeding ewes during the lactation period was determined. It has been established that the use of sulfur citrate in the amount of 0.075 g/animal (as a pure element), 0.2 mg/gal of iodine citrate and 0.15 mg/animal of selenium in the form of selenomethionine, or in doses 2 times smaller than their inorganic compounds, contributed to the improvement of the transformation feed nutrients into sheep products, which ensured a 10% (Р<0.05) increase in the ewe’s dairy yield (up to 32 kg/animal versus 29 kg/animal in the control). This led to an improvement in the growth intensity of lambs, which during the weaning period from ewes of the first experimental group amounted to 286 g/animal/day, which was 7% (Р<0.05) higher than the growth indicators of their control peers (267 g/animal/day). in order to balance the ewe’s mineral nutrition during lactation in terms of sulfur, iodine and selenium, it is advisable to include in their diet minerals organic forms in the form of citrates sulfur - 0.075 g/animal and iodine - 0.2 mg/anima per day (calculated per pure element) and selenium in the form of selenomethionine - 0.15 mg/gal, or 2 times less than their inorganic compounds, which helps to improve the transformation of feed into sheep products. This ensures a 10.0% (up to 32.0 kg) increase in the sheep dairy yield, a 7.0% (up to 286 g/animal/day) growth intensity of lambs during the suckling period, and allows you to receive up to 90 hryvnias/animal of additional profit.
