Purpose: to develop, justify and put into practice a systematized model of prevention of complications of modern surgical treatment of patients with degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine based on the use of diagnostic, therapeutic and experimental technologies with the development of recommendations for improving surgical treatment. Methods: experimental modeling on animals, histological (pathomorphological), biochemical, clinical, statistical. Theoretical and practical results: The development of complications of spondylodesis of the lumbar spine of rats depending on damage to nerve structures or intervertebral discs was studied on the basis of an experiment using morphological and biochemical methods. Preoperative changes in markers of inflammation, metabolites of connective tissue and the immune system in patients with complications after surgical treatment of degenerative diseases of the spine were determined. An algorithmic model for predicting the development of complications of modern surgical treatment of patients with degenerative spinal diseases based on the results of preoperative clinical and laboratory examination of patients has been developed. Novelty: Medical technologies and new technical techniques for the prevention of complications and modern methods of surgical treatment of degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine have been developed. Effectiveness of implementation: The obtained new knowledge is of great importance in the period of wartime, when many people are exposed to titanically heavy physical loads, which has a direct negative impact on degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine and contributes to their appearance.
