On the basis of theories of the relationship between foreign trade and economic growth, the mechanism of influence of foreign trade on economic growth is determined. The essence of accelerated globalization is highlighted, the impact of this process on the economy of Ukraine is analyzed, the vectors of Ukrainian foreign economic policy necessary in the conditions of accelerated globalization are substantiated. An assessment of the peculiarities of Ukraine's foreign trade relations with some countries of the world, in particular, Asian countries, was carried out, the main trends, challenges and prospects of trade cooperation were determined. The current state and problems of Ukrainian-Chinese economic cooperation are studied, the priority ways of its progress are outlined in order to improve the most important sectors of the domestic economy in the conditions of a new stage of development of bilateral relations between the two countries. The effectiveness and impact of the customs and tariff policy on the economic development of the state is analyzed, in particular in the context of the general foreign economic strategy, and recommendations for the optimization of this component are given. A mechanism for forming an optimal model of the national policy of integration into international commodity markets, which allows developing the country and increasing the competitiveness of its economy on the international market has been developed. With the use of the proposed scientific and methodological approach to the assessment of international trade in the conditions of digitalization, the leading drivers affecting the effectiveness of international trade in modern conditions are singled.
