Description

 The effect of GdYVO 4:Eu3+ nanoparticles, in particular those previously activated by ultraviolet irradiation, on cells of tumor lines and fibroblasts was established and a comprehensive assessment of their cytotoxicity was carried out. The ability of GdYVO 4:Eu3+ nanoparticles to affect leukocyte apoptosis, generate reactive oxygen species in them, influence the state of membrane phospholipids, and induce hepatotoxicity in vivo depending on the presence/absence of prior exposure to ultraviolet light has been proven.
