The object of the research is the language culture of students of state language courses. The purpose of the work is to identify and investigate such concepts as: language norm, language culture, communicative competence, which are basic for the formation of the language culture of any individual, in particular, students of state language courses. It has been established that the formation of the language culture of an individual covers a number of aspects that contribute to the development of skills and abilities to use the language in various situations. The key elements of language culture formation are literacy, vocabulary, ability to communicate, culture of expression, style and etiquette of speech, language self-awareness, reading skills, as well as language traditions and culture. It has been found that language culture and language norms are closely related concepts that determine the way language is used in society. A language norm defines the rules and standards that regulate the use of language within a particular community or society. These rules can cover grammatical constructions, lexical norms, spelling and other aspects of speech. It is noted that language culture is based on language norms and, depending on the specific situation, the speaker selects the appropriate language means to achieve communicative goals. The linguistic culture of an individual consists not only in observing the formal rules of the language, but also in taking into account cultural features, adapting speech to the audience and context.
