The purpose of the research work is to increase the accuracy and quality of processing when boring intermittent holes by reducing the negative impact of vibrations of the boring tool and to develop a method for determining the amount of oscillations, which will make it possible to determine the optimal design parameters of tools during their design. On the basis of the conducted research, a design of a drill rod for processing intermittent holes with one cutter and a characteristic arrangement of three elastic elements was developed, which will have a smaller amount of vibrations compared to the existing design of a drill rod with one cutter and two elastic elements. The results obtained during the implementation of the NDR formed the basis of scientific and methodical recommendations regarding the execution of intermittent hole boring operations, which allows to increase the efficiency of the execution of technological processes in the production conditions of the FOP ShPAK.
