The study is in the focus in regards to the increasing anthropogenic press conjoined abnormal climat change; dictated by the decline of biodiversity, increasing fish mortality; and is necessar for a mechanistic understanding of the animals’ ability to withstand increasing anthropogenic press and global warming. In the present project, we will use an integrated set of molecular, physiological and cytogenetic markers of carp fish under experimental treatment in the laboratory with hypolipidemic (eg statins), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and sugar-regulating drugs, as well as cyanotoxins of cylindrospermopsin, microcystin and polymethoxy-1-alkene classes. Based on the determination of an optimal set of selective biomarkers in vivo, an in vitro test system will be exploited for rapid assessment of the biosafety and toxicity of cyanotoxins and widely-used pharmaceuticals. The findings optimize the assessment of environmental biorisks, the effects of global climate change and eutrophication, and gain our understanding of the adaptive changes in evolutionarily conserved signaling mechanism of organism resistance to stress factors.
