For the first time, the leading questions of comparative typology and the possibilities of its use in the analysis of modern literature are considered, and the leading multidisciplinary principles of imagological studies in modern literary studies are highlighted. From the standpoint of systemic analysis, the essence of interliterary and intercultural relations is revealed in the context of the genetic-contact approach; the essence of the «transitivity» concept in modern literary studies. The perspective of using synergetics as a method and school of interdisciplinary research is substantiated; the advantages of modern literary analysis from the standpoint of the «theory of transitivity» are singled out; methods of analysis of transformational processes at the level of macrodynamics of culture (transition) and at the literary level in particular (stylistic eclecticism, genre hybridization) are substantiated. The methods of artistic embodiment of multicultural discourse in the literature of the late 20th and early 21st centuries are considered and systematized. The priority of using multiculturalism as an interdisciplinary methodology in the modern literary process is substantiated. The perspective of the theoretical reflection of the multicultural factor in the literary discourse is argued. The problems of multiculturalism in relation to cultural globalization are represented and systematized. The place of comparative typology in the context of comparativistics is highlighted and clarified; the theoretical reflection of the Ukrainian-European intercultural dialogue in modern literary studies is described and systematized. The typological aspects of the comparison of the genres of Ukrainian and world literature are summarized.
