In particular, this leads to an increase in the consumption of petroleum-based fuels and an increase in emissions of harmful substances in the atmosphere. To solve these problems, research institutions and higher educational institutions of Ukraine and other countries of the world are conducting research aimed at finding ways to improve the fuel efficiency and environmental performance of automobile engines. The most promising measures are those that can be implemented under operating conditions without significant structural changes to the engines. Such measures, which are easy to implement under operating conditions, are the use of alternative fuels and the intensification of the combustion process in engines using activating additives. The most common types of alternative fuels in road transport are liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline with a significant bioethanol content, and diesel biofuels derived from renewable raw materials. Activating additives include hydrogen or substances containing it in their composition. One of these additives is a hydrogen-containing gas composed of molecules and atoms of hydrogen and oxygen. This gas is obtained by electrolysis of aqueous solutions of alkalis or acids and is fed into the intake manifold of the engine to the air charge. In the course of the project implementation, experimental and computational studies of the use of hydrogen-containing gas additives to the air charge of engines operating on various alternative fuels, including those derived from renewable raw materials, will be carried out to improve the fuel efficiency and environmental performance of automobile engines. The use of such an event under operating conditions will significantly reduce environmental pollution by cars and rationally consume motor fuels. Product Description popup.authors Dukhnenko Yana S.
