The goal of the study: development of theoretical, methodological and applied provisions to ensure the effective functioning and development of enterprises, which will increase the effectiveness of their work and competitiveness in conditions of uncertainty and martial law in Ukraine. Research methods: the methodological base of the research is a set of methods and provisions used in the study of socio-economic phenomena and processes. The methods of scientific generalization, analysis and synthesis, general scientific abstraction, system-analytical and comparison are used in the research and clarification of the theoretical foundations of ensuring the effective functioning and development of enterprises; methods of expert assessments, ranking, as well as comparative analysis in the development of methodical tools. The effective functioning and development of enterprises is based on the determined theoretical and methodological principles of managing the stable development of production systems in the conditions of decentralization, innovative and investment activities that ensure the country's development strategy, taking into account the influence of trade wars and fluctuations of the currency market of Ukraine under martial law, as well as approaches regarding emergency risk management of the enterprise. As a result of the analysis, the effective functioning and development of the enterprise can be ensured by the formation of the competitive potential of the enterprise, the development of mechanical engineering as a strategic branch of the country, the use of modern cost management tools, approaches to the planning of foreign economic activity, ensured by the processes of digitalization of educational practices and economic processes and business models .
