The purpose of the work: to analyze metaphors as means of forming a writer's idiolect in a comparative aspect, to study irony as a means of comic effect in the artistic space of postmodernism, to explore the peculiarities of translating technical and journalistic texts, to investigate the translation activities of progressive Ukrainian women of the 19th century, and to address the issue of adaptation and translation of lexical material in educational manuals for Polish-speaking students. Research methods: determined by the nature of collective studies and the necessity of applying a comprehensive analysis methodology, consisting of descriptive and comparative methods as primary, as well as supplementary techniques - contextual and component analysis. Philological scientific studies address translation issues in the field of Slavic studies, promote active intercultural communication, the use of artificial intelligence in translation practice; develop skills in applying additional knowledge related to contemporary national, social, and political realities; allow solving a number of current problems related to translation and language didactics. The diversity and significance of the topics of departmental studies stimulated active search and creation of a source base. During the scientific research, the latest methodological approaches and innovative methods were used, demonstrating the close connection and interaction of various scientific fields such as linguistics, translation studies, literary studies, translation history, and language didactics.
