With the help of a complex method using chromatography, investigation of the propensity of specified coal bed to spontaneous combustion was carried out. It is established that coal of coalbed l8 in the zone of geological disturbance in installation passage of the 8th northern lava of slope No. 1 of the "Bilozerska Mine" is not dangerous for spontaneous combustion.
