The purpose of the study is a comprehensive analysis of the legal regulation of economic activity in the context of the development of the digital economy and society of Ukraine, taking into account the experience of European countries in the application of Industry 4.0 technologies, and the implementation of the results of scientific research in practice. Research methods: To achieve this goal, the study used general scientific and special methods of cognition: dialectical, formal legal, comparative legal, systemic and structural, logical, statistical, etc. Within the framework of the outlined issues, the researchers studied a set of issues aimed at analyzing the legal acts of national legislation and international law, identifying legal problems of regulating the digital economy of Industry 4.0 in Ukraine and developing recommendations for the application of international experience, in particular the experience of EU countries, on the legal regulation of economic activity in the context of the Industry 4.0 economy. In particular, the research study examined the EU's digitalization policy in the field of Industry 4.0 and the practice of legal regulation, revealed the peculiarities of legal support for economic activity, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, the introduction of digital technologies, financing and taxation in the context of the implementation of Industry 4.0, developed proposals for improving the state economic policy of Ukraine and further development of legal support for the activities of business entities based on Industry 4.0 technologies.
