The results confirm the statement that the main goal of dairy cattle management is to maximize milk production while maintaining optimal reproductive efficiency. It has been determined that reproduction significantly affects the profitability of dairy farming, as it determines the continuity of milk production and the intervals between calvings. Metabolic disorders and changes in immunity during pregnancy in cows have been found to be critical aspects that affect the health and reproductive success of dairy and beef cattle. The physiological demands of pregnancy cause significant metabolic changes to support fetal development, leading to changes in nutrient metabolism and immune function. An effective system of rearing young animals is proposed that takes into account their biological characteristics, promotes healthy growth, development and formation of high productivity and stable constitution, which in turn allows them to continue to be used in the farm. When analyzing the energy and nutrient requirements of young animals, their metabolic characteristics are taken into account, which affect growth rates at different stages of development, and a new approach to research based on the use of biologically active additives is used.
