The goal of the 2024 stage: study and selection of the best recombinant forms of sugar beets for the formation of parental components of hybrids on the basis of the Central Genetics System. Research methods: laboratory, field, measurement and weight, statistical. The best recombinant forms of sugar beet were studied and selected for the formation of parental components of hybrids based on the CМS. Nine of the best in terms of productivity and technological qualities of raw sugar O-type lines and their analogues with CМS were selected, eight combination-capable diploid multi-germ pollinators with the optimal combination of the most significant breeding-genetic and economically valuable traits. Seven combination-capable CМS lines with a pollen sterility level of 99–100% and seed monogermination of 98–100% were transferred to the Betaintercross program. 10 highly productive hybrids of sugar beet based with an improved root crop shape, suitable for energy- and environmentally friendly cultivation technologies, have been created.
