The report highlights the research of scientists of the Tobacco Research Station of the National Scientific Center "IZ NAAS" for 2024 on the creation and study of the genetic potential of a new source material for the selection of parental components, the formation of experimental monocotyledonous hybrids of fodder beets on a sterile basis and the assessment of their productive potential in the preliminary variety testing system. According to the results of the research, six combinable O-type lines and their analogues from the Central Statistical Office and seven combinable multicotyledonous pollinators of fodder beets with an increased level of basic productivity were identified. Six highly productive monocotyledonous hybrids of fodder beets on a sterile basis were created, which exceed the standard for dry matter yield by 5–10%.
