The object of the study is the activities of organized groups or criminal organizations in committing criminal offenses and the activities of law enforcement agencies using special knowledge during the investigation of such criminal offenses. The subject of the study is the use of special knowledge in the investigation of criminal offenses committed by organized groups or criminal organizations. The purpose of the study is to develop scientifically grounded forensic recommendations for improving the foundations of using special knowledge during the investigation of criminal offenses committed by organized groups or criminal organizations. The research tasks include: evaluating the criminal procedural and forensic support for the use of special knowledge in the investigation of criminal offenses committed by organized groups or criminal organizations; revealing the features of using special knowledge during investigative (search) actions; improving the foundations for using special knowledge in the investigation of such criminal offenses. The methodological basis comprises the provisions of Ukrainian legislation regulating the activities of pre-trial investigation bodies, including the Constitution of Ukraine, the Criminal Code, and the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as subordinate acts. The scientific and practical significance of the obtained results lies in the fact that the study establishes the specific features of using specialized knowledge during the investigation of criminal offenses committed by organized groups or criminal organizations.
