Research of the stress-strain state of inhomogeneous materials and thin-walled structural elements under the influence of static and dynamic loads, including: statement of tasks; development of linear and nonlinear theories; development of methods, algorithms, programs; solving specific classes of problems for layered materials and shell elements of structures of spherical, cylindrical and conical shapes, weakened by holes and cutouts; analysis of the results and development of recommendations for the creation of engineering methods for calculating materials and structural elements with heterogeneities under static and dynamic load.

The formulation of physically nonlinear boundary value problems for thin shells of zero Gaussian curvature, which are made of nonlinear-elastic composite materials, weakened by a rectangular hole and are under the action of a static load of increased intensity, is given. A numerical method for solving this class of physically nonlinear problems is developed, which is based on the methods of additional stresses and finite elements. Using the proposed method and the created software, the influence of real material properties (nonlinear elasticity), geometric and physical-mechanical parameters and load values on stress concentration in orthotropic cylindrical and conical shells with a rectangular hole is investigated.
