The main goal of the scientific and technical project is to create and develop on the basis of the Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment "Innovative Geoenergy" of the Dnipro University of Technology a unique open interdisciplinary research platform of the hybrid SmartGrid system of energy-efficient low-carbon power supply for conducting scientific research in priority innovative directions in the field of energy, energy efficiency, mechatronics and robotics, information technologies, the latest materials science, which will allow, on the one hand, to solve the urgent issues of energy independence and energy security of Ukraine, the growth of the national economy in the power engineering, transport, machine building and related industries, and on the other hand, correspond to the priority directions of Frame European Union programs for scientific research and innovation "Horizon Europe", which will allow domestic institutions of higher education to take leading roles in the consortia of the specified projects and to be a base for conducting scientific research with the participation of foreign scientists, to commercialize the results of scientific research and scientific and technical (experimental) developments at the national level, and to contribute to obtaining funding for scientific studies under international programs

The main goal of the scientific and technical (infrastructure) project is to create and develop, on the basis of the Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment "Innovative Geoenergy" of the National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic", a unique open interdisciplinary research platform of a hybrid SmartGrid system of energy-efficient low-carbon power supply for conducting scientific research in priority innovative areas in the field of energy, energy efficiency, mechatronics and robotics, information technologies, and advanced materials science, which will allow, on the one hand, to solve urgent issues of energy independence and energy security of Ukraine, the growth of the national economy in the electric power, transport, machine building and related industries, and on the other hand, to meet the priority areas of the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation "Horizon Europe" - Work Programme 8 "Climate, Energy and Mobility" in a wide range of its components, in particular:
- "Sustainable, secure and competitive energy supply”;
- “Clean and competitive solutions for all transport modes”;
- “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use”;
- “Cross-sectoral solutions for the climate transition”;
- “Climate sciences and responses for the transformation towards climate neutrality”;
which will allow domestic higher education institutions (hereinafter referred to as HEIs) to take leading roles in the consortiums of the above projects and be a base for conducting scientific research with the participation of foreign scientists, commercialize the results of scientific research and scientific and technical (experimental) developments at the national level and facilitate obtaining funding for scientific research under international programs.
