The purpose of the work is to analyze scientific approaches and technological techniques for creating new effective materials for construction. Research methods are comparison, the method of descent from the abstract to the concrete, analysis, synthesis, analogy, modeling. The mechanical properties of composites were analyzed and it was shown that they are determined by the ratio of its components, the properties of the matrix and reinforcing elements, as well as the strength of the bond between them. It was established that the use of sandwich structures with cellular filler provides broad opportunities for a significant reduction in the mass of various objects. It is proposed to solve the problem of resource conservation in the construction industry by using secondary material resources that are formed during production and consumption. The aspects of the choice of roofing materials to ensure the quality and efficiency of the reconstruction of destroyed objects in Ukraine are analyzed.
